Ten Ways to Style Faux Leather Leggings

Hello friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas however you decided to celebrate. And guess what...it's Boxing Day today! Another opportunity to celebrate, over eat, over indulge, and chill before the terrible work week begins again.

One of the items that's been a big seller this year has been these Faux Leather Leggings. There are many pair to be found online however, I much prefer these ones from White House Black Market for the fit and the sheen. So, without further ado, I'm going to show you the Ten Ways that I would style this wardrobe staple this season.

For the first look, I've glammed them up a bit for a night on the town. I started with a black turtleneck sweater, and the topped that off with a Faux Leather Shirt. I belted it with this designer belt and then pulled on my favorite pair of lug soled booties from Steve Madden. I added a black beanie, some oversized Hollywood sunnies, and then topped it all off with this amazing Houndstooth Coat. This is chic, sophisticated, and trendy, all at the same time.

I'm going to call this second look, Casual Chic. The main piece here is this Plaid Shacket (shirt/jacket combo). I pulled on a pair of Nine West Knee High Boots and in keeping with the black & brown color scheme, added my Brixton Brown Wool Hat.

For the third look I wanted to play with color so I grabbed a fuchsia sweater, added a fuchsia scarf, a fuchsia quilted bag, and then topped it with this AH-mazing Fuchsia Coat. With this look I put on my Black High Heeled Booties and then added the Gray Brixton Wool hat.

These next three looks are cozy, comfy, chilling at home by the fire or with friends looks.

Up first, I put on this Fluffy Sweater (it comes in about 25 different color ways) and a pair of Quilted Riding Boots that are less than $42.00!

Look number two is simply the Black Turtleneck Sweater again, my Steve Madden Lug Sole Booties again, a lightweight Puffer Coat, and this buffalo check scarf for some visual interest.

And for look number three I topped the leggings with this wonderful bright red sweater, a red beanie, and my High Heeled Booties. I absolutely love wearing red, especially this bright red. And while we are on the subject, pretty much anyone looks good in red. I have an olive complexion and it looks great on me. If you are fair skinned it will look amazing on you as well. Calling all redheads! Don't fall into that trap that you can't wear red, that's bullshit. Redheads can rock some red!! And last but not least, if you've got a brown or darker skin tone, you'll look amazing wearing red. It will make your skin glisten like glitter!

To make this last out fit a bit more casual you can switch out the High Heeled Booties for a pair of red sneakers like I have here. This Red Pair from Nike is a great choice for this outside look which is topped with the lightweight puffer coat.

Now, for a few casual, errand running or lunch with the gals looks, we always start with a good blazer.

For this look I added a White Ribbed Turtleneck sweater, a pair of plain White Sneakers, and this Houndstooth Blazer, which is on sale now.

I pulled my hair back in a ball cap and added a pair of black sunnies to round out this casual look.

For this next look, I switched out the turtleneck for a lightweight, gray hoodie and again topped it with the Houndstooth Blazer.

If you're going to be doing some serious walking then these low heeled Knee High Combat style Boots are a great addition. Grab those same Oversized Black Sunglasses and this look is rocker chic and fabulous.

And for this last look I topped a black Camisole with a plain Black Boyfriend Blazer, which is on sale for 50% Off right now, those same white sneakers, and a black ball cap.

So, there you have it. If you haven't yet purchased a pair of Faux Leather Leggings, then now is definitely the time. With so many ways to style this wardrobe staple you'll be wondering what took you so long. They also make great gifts so if you have a sister, or girlfriend with a January birthday, grab her a pair and then send her this blog so that she will have tons of styling options.

We've got one more holiday celebration around the corner and then this dreadful year will come to an end however; keep on the lookout for my end of year blog detailing all the things that I am grateful for, even though this year was one armpit of a year.

Happy Boxing Day!!

Cheers! XOXO
